Seven of 18 recent Melrose sales carry a price so far, topping out above $1.1 million
The South Middlesex Registry of Deeds recorded 18 Melrose property transfers between Aug. 21 and Sept. 19, but only seven carry a sale price so far, ranging from $670,000 to $1,170,000 with a median of $893,000. The top sale was 25 Cumner Ave at $1,170,000, sold to Michael Bekkenhuis and William Chleapas. The other 11 transfers, still awaiting recorded prices, largely involve owners moving property into their own revocable trusts rather than open-market sales. With most of the period's transfers unpriced, the data offers limited basis for judging overall price direction this month.
