The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Melrose Police Department's official public log for the period April 20–26, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).


Monday, April 20

Monday, April 20, 7:36 a.m.–1:44 a.m. (through early April 21)Medical Emergencies: Three medical emergency calls were responded to across the day; two patients were transported to a hospital and one was treated on scene.

Monday, April 20, 8:06 a.m.Suspicious Activity: Officers responded to the 100 block of Grove Street; a report was taken.

Monday, April 20, 10:23 a.m.Motor Vehicle Accident: A crash with a report was taken at the 500 block of Franklin Street.

Monday, April 20, 11:35 a.m.Trash Dumping: Officers responded to a trash dumping complaint at the 100 block of Bay State Road.

Monday, April 20, 5:07 p.m.Complaint: Officers responded to a complaint at the 400 block of Main Street (Melrose Nail Salon); a report was taken.

Monday, April 20, 7:35 p.m.Wire Down: A downed wire was reported on Sylvan Street.


Tuesday, April 21

Tuesday, April 21, 8:49 a.m.–9:31 p.m.Medical Emergencies: Six medical emergency calls were logged; four patients were transported to a hospital between 8:49 and 9:40 a.m., and two additional calls in the evening were referred to another agency or resulted in notification.

Tuesday, April 21, 10:53 a.m.Motor Vehicle Stop: A motor vehicle stop near Grove Street at Berwick Street resulted in a report being taken.

Tuesday, April 21, 12:33 p.m.Breaking and Entering (Past): A report of a past breaking and entering was filed at Washington Street.

Tuesday, April 21, 2:05 p.m.Trespassing: Officers responded to a trespassing complaint at the 400 block of Main Street (Melrose Nail Salon).


Wednesday, April 22

Wednesday, April 22, 6:10 a.m.Medical Emergency: Officers responded to a medical emergency; services were rendered.

Wednesday, April 22, 6:10 a.m.Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance at Melrose Wakefield Hospital on the 500 block of Lebanon Street.

Wednesday, April 22, 11:05 a.m.Suspicious Activity: Officers responded to suspicious activity near the 300 block of Lebanon Street; a report was taken.

Wednesday, April 22, 6:08 p.m.Hit-and-Run Accident: A hit-and-run motor vehicle accident was reported at the Shaw's Supermarket area on Essex Street; a report was taken.

Wednesday, April 22, 6:38 p.m.Medical Emergency: A patient was transported to a hospital following a medical emergency.

Wednesday, April 22, 9:47 p.m.Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance at Shaw's Supermarket on Essex Street.


Thursday, April 23

Thursday, April 23, 12:54 a.m.Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance at an elderly housing complex on the 200 block of West Wyoming Avenue.

Thursday, April 23, 2:09 a.m.–2:35 p.m.Medical Emergencies: Nine medical emergency calls were logged throughout the day; seven patients were transported to a hospital, one welfare check resulted in a hospital transport, and one call for a medical emergency resulted in a report being taken.
