The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Melrose Police Department's official public log for the period March 16–22, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).


Monday, March 16, multiple callsMedical Emergency: Nine medical emergencies were logged throughout the day; seven patients were transported to the hospital and two were referred to other agencies.

Monday, March 16, 11:10 a.m.Motor Vehicle Stop: A motor vehicle stop near the 400 block of Upham Street generated a police report.

Monday, March 16, 2:12 p.m.Well-Being Check: A well-being check resulted in a police report being filed.

Monday, March 16, 3:12 p.m.Motor Vehicle Accident: A crash near the 700 block of Newburyport Turnpike resulted in at least one person being transported to the hospital.

Monday, March 16, 10:18 p.m.Wire Down: A downed wire was reported; the scene was cleared.
