Melrose flu clinic set for Oct. 27, seniors only
Melrose's Health and Human Services Department says its last flu clinic of the fall is Oct. 27 at Memorial Hall, open only to residents 65 and older as part of the Melrose Senior Resource Fair.
Melrose's Health and Human Services Department has been holding flu clinics for the community this fall, with one remaining opportunity for older residents.
The department held clinics Sept. 15 at Memorial Hall, 590 Main St., and Oct. 22 at the Milano Center, 201 W Foster St., open to anyone age 5 and older.
The final clinic is set for Oct. 27 at Memorial Hall during the Melrose Senior Resource Fair, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This session is limited to individuals age 65 and older.
Residents attending should bring an ID and insurance card. High-dose vaccine will be available to those 65 and older while supplies last. The department recommends pre-registering and asks attendees to wear loosely fitted, short-sleeved shirts, with an easy-to-remove outer layer if the weather is cold.
For help registering for the Oct. 27 clinic, residents can call 781-665-4304. Questions about the clinics can be directed to Health and Human Services at 781-979-4130.
