EDITOR HOLD: Submitted transcript does not match Melrose, Massachusetts Select Board
MELROSE — August 18, 2016 — A transcript submitted for the Melrose, Massachusetts Select Board meeting of August 18, 2016 appears to document a Melrose, Minnesota city council session and should not be published without editorial correction. The recording references the Minnesota State Fair, Great River Regional Library, businesses identified as "Stoney Creek Butters" and "Swanee White" flour, and a city attorney referred to as Scott — none of which correspond to any known Melrose, Massachusetts institution or official. The council in the transcript approved Resolution 2016-33 authorizing the sale of city-owned land to a party identified as "Empire Memorial," received a police report citing 318 calls for service year-to-date in 2016 and 36 July traffic citations, and heard a zoning report noting 42 building permits totaling $18,348,000 for the second quarter. No Melrose, Massachusetts official, policy, or dollar figure is documented in the submitted material.
